it is called „viimeinen pari uunista ulos“. the pairless guy in the front tries to catch himself a pair before the running pair can get back together. the one who is left without a pair becomes the next catcher.

It’s called viimeinen pari uunista ulos. The „single“ in front of the line of couples yells for the last couple to start running. Once the couple passes the yeller, he can try to catch one of the runners before they can reach each other and form a pair again. If the yeller succeeds, he forms a new couple with the one he catches and they go stand in front of the line together. Otherwise he has to yell and try again.

Kids play this game more freely, but as these are young people, it’s more like a flirty social game (comparable to dancing) and the yeller is always a man, couples are always of different genders and the yeller always tries to catch the woman.

In this scene, the woman „breaks“ the game by not really even trying go reach her pair and rather leads the yeller further away from the group.
