Nexstar Media is a major owner of local TV stations, including some affiliated with the ABC network, which is owned by The Walt Disney Company.
They are a private company and can do what they want. The host doesn’t own the show. He just hosts. It’s not a public square for free speech. They just tolerate or agree with what the host says. Just like X and Facebook and all the other social media sites.
And free speech protects the right to express oneself without fear of government punishment. Nothing about private companies.

This is government retaliation. The FCC chair threatened Disney if they didn’t fire Kimmel only hours ago. ABC and Disney are scared of the government that has openly violated every law under the sun.
It infuriates me that the admin of the guy who has consistently cried witch hunt and political prosecution has been allowed to go after people and companies they don’t like. We need to do better.
