I always thought that in these congressional hearings, the witnesses are compelled to answer truthfully, and honestly, to the best of their abilities, or they can be held in contempt? I guess not.

His says immediately that he and the Attorney General had multiple discussions about where Trump’s name is in the “Epstein files.” He also points out that [obviously] Trump being in “The Epstein Files” is publicly known.
Patel lied through his teeth about the video and other things regarding Epstein, but this is just a childish attempt at generating a misleading soundbite by a flatulent jackass.
In general, It should be required by law that in official proceedings and hearings like this, that all government officials be compelled, under oath, with risk of being charged for perjury, that their answers be provided completely and truthfully and satisfactorily. But the system is an illusion, so this is what we get from both sides of the aisle, a clown show.
We will never get the truth about the Epstein files. It sucks but it just won’t happen (at least not in our lifetime).
