Ich habe ein wiederkehrendes Tattoo auf der linken Hand mehrerer Männer in den Vierzigern in Armenien bemerkt. Könnte dies mit einer Bande oder einer Gefängnis -Tattoo -Tradition im Land in Verbindung gebracht werden?

Almost sure it’s short of mother, but not Latin “M” or Armenian “Մ”, instead Russian М.

You’ll actually get your answer, instead of opinions, judgment and insults from strangers directed towards someone who had no idea his picture was taken.
I asked a cab driver there, and his response was that the letter in the middle represents their family name.
Each line on one side is how many siblings they had, and the other was how many kids they had.
Made sense, never thought about it again until now.
