      Israel’s ground offensive on Gaza is a blatant violation of UN resolutions and international law. Collective punishment of civilians is never justified, yet the world keeps looking the other way.

      The UN was created to prevent exactly this kind of aggression, yet its policies are ignored without consequence.

      Israel’s war in Gaza has one of the most justified reasons I can think of, but I don’t see what this assault can get at this point, except a lot of dead Gazans, dead Israeli soldiers, dead israeli hostages, and more buildings turned to rubble. And AFAIK, even the IDF chief, and part of the Israeli cabinet agrees with me.

      I have a hard time believing that Hamas even cares anymore, if they’re going to rule over a complete wasteland. They just want a symbolic win, and they’ll declare it even if they just have one guy standing.

      Do you think if Trump lost the election Gaza would at least have pieces of itself left to rebuild?

      It seems like Israel is going to level the entire city.

      Palestine is lost….

      Can’t even contain his giddiness at the continual displacement of hundreds of thousands of people with a limited selection of also high-risk alternatives to staying in the city.

      The reality is that this area will never be at peace.  There will continue to be revenge killings for as long as Israel maintains land.  The incentive for the truly innocent Palestinians will grow ten fold once this slaughter is over.

      Like anyone who isn’t a cretin, I hope that as many civilians as possible remain safe, and as many Hamas members as possible end up incredibly unsafe.

      After Hitler, germany was occupied by the allies and soviets for over 40 years. I think it turned out pretty well.
