This directly puts israel’s future sovereignty in jeopardy. Essentially, israeli government is making sure that in the far future when the old fucks that are running things now are dead n buried, the kids now who’ll be all grown up will remember these unjustified transgressions israel is participating in against palestinians. Not defending Ben Gvir, but some people really need to study up on Sharm El Sheikh, Dahab, Taba, etc. The Egyptian government has been building up the area with luxury resorts by displacing Bedouin communities for a long time.

There people are becoming weirder by the day. I sort of understand the mindset of being a fascist and wanting to crush your enimies so you can take power, but these people are like mustache twirling villains. They are so busy proforming, it’s making them inefficient and creating so much international pushback it’s making their lives harder.
I know a lot of the IDF leadership are constantly complaining that there is no national security benefit to how Netanyahu is using them. It’s squandered any international sympathy people have historically had for Isreal.
It’s not enough to burn down the orphanage, they have to ship in more nuns, run a talent contest to find the most adorable orphans to stock the orphanage, then install a sound system so they can dance to the sound of burning nuns. Half of what they do doesn’t even benefit Israel, it’s just proformative cruelty to play to an internal audience.

If he wasn’t so good at getting the Israeli equivalent of the KKK to vote for him, and if Netanyahu didn’t need both him and Smotrich to form a majority coalition Ben Gvir would have been booted LONG ago.
