He’s not deceiving Trump, he’s just telling him what to do. They had more than enough time to make plans during their ride in presidential limo in Alaska.
This guy must be so exhausted having to say just the right thing to get the real message to the world without publicly giving trump any reason to side with putin. Ukraine is lucky to have him, any nation would be.
Zalensky should probably try changing tactics at this point when talking to trump.

They have done such an incredible job fighting against this invasion. It must me devastating to think the u.s. would help and then the president does all this.
