My latest: China hit back at the claim by Keith Kellogg that Russia’s war in Ukraine would end very quickly if Beijing withdrew its support for Moscow, saying the trade relations are „normal“ and that China has promoted peace talks.

Yes, blame China.
Yes, the US and Europe still trade with Russia and that needs to stop. The problem is that China actively supports Russia by providing equipment and supplies. If China cut Russia off, the war won’t end but Russia would be severely hampered.
If Trump stops supporting Putin the war also stops; if Europe stops buying energy from Russia the war also stops;

The US administration will do anything to make sure Trump doesn’t have to force the issue with Putin. This faux China blame is just more coddling of Trump.
The real issue here: Trump is a big ole pussy and so are his supporters
The thing is, China doesn’t care about the war and chaos in Europe, in fact they profit of it. There’s no incentive for China to change their position.
In this regard, they are not any different than the US or Russia when it comes to proxi wars. So yeah, can’t play the moral card here.

China doesn’t want Russia to win in Ukraine, because the economic vassalization of Russia without lifting a finger has been a boon to say the least – but they also don’t want them to lose either.
Russia losing likely means that the country will collapse.
And while China would have the opportunity to expand into Siberia, they would lose the ability to tie up US/NATO forces in Europe in the event of WW3, not to mention having to deal with what would likely be a civil war on their border.
