      That’s… not what needs to happen. When cuts happen through attrition the best people „retire“ and start working as consultants. What needs to be pruned is the deadwood that just shows up to work and don’t actually provide any value.

      There’s *no way* this is true once he starting pushing 15% cuts over 3 years.

      Sure, based on his (largely misleading) campaign promise to oppose Poilievre’s cuts with sensible caps, it was possible

      But now he’s made Bruce Fanjoy look like a shameless liar for saying that Carney was gonna save their jobs if they voted out Poilievre.

      I don’t know if you’re right. 4.4% retired last year and that’s not counting people who quit and went to the private sector. The “feels” might say this isn’t doable but the numbers indicate otherwise.

    4. Isn’t this a bad way to balance the federal government at some point you need to hire the top talent, and look at people with outside experience and knowledge. Effectively you are just diluting the talent pool and making people the jack of all trades, instead of master of one area.
