This looks like a clear test of NATOs response. If anything it’s a reminder that alliance unity and quick diplomacy are more important than ever.

Ukraine was their test on NATO. Sending drones into Poland is simply turning the heat up a notch while they boil the frog. Putin is waiting for American democracy to get the official stamp of failure in 2028; after that, Russian tanks roll into Warsaw.

It was to reduce deliveries of air defense systems to Ukraine. If there is a (perceived) thread of NATO itself, some countries will be inclined to keep the defense systems themselves.
Not my theory, but from Mark Reicher. But it sounds plausible for me.

NATO failed that test, and as a result, Russia sent drones to Romania. NATO needs to defend itself or Putin will keep crossing every red line.

And with isolationist US, NATO wot be able to do squat when Putin invades Poland and Romania.

Russia’s approach is called ‚Salami-slicing‘ and it refers to the tactic of taking a series of gradual steps to achieve strategic goals, without provoking a significant counter response.
They are attempting to escalate a hybrid war with NATO slowly enough to avoid a serious response.

NATO should retaliate by shooting down every drone they can over Ukrainian airspace, saying it’s afraid it may get to Poland. And then add Belarusian airspace.

So .. time to send some random Drones into Russia to „test“ them ?
Surely they wouldn’t object.

Duh, it doesn’t take figuring out to know that Putin is poking Poland to see how NATO will react to drone incursion.
He’ll probably try to figure out formula if he really want to attack Poland without triggering Article 5.
But remember, Putin thought he was smart enough to take over Ukraine in a lightening operation attack against Ukraine and as we all know failed miserably.

And Poland only took 4 out of 20 down

Yeah no shit and i would say we passed it pretty good, jets from 2 other countries were helping with shooting down the drones. Even Belarus thinks they helped somehow but i think they just forgot what side their on.

Bigger picture, NATO response to incursion is importance because China is gauging response in anticipation for a Taiwan invasion! Leave it to Trump to welcome China to begin a full scale invasion with no consequences because the US didn’t make an effort to stop the Russian invasion and aggression into NATO!
