Also idk about that signature stuff, like as I understand it they can get as many men as they want, they just need an equal number of signatures from other groups. Makes sense cuz the party is mostly women, no?

Any discussion of the futility of performative identity politics in Canada that never even mentions the words „Poilievre“ or „Trudeau“ is glossing over the bigger story.
Does the NDP have a huge problem here? Absolutely.

Absolutely crazy to watch three of our leading veteran politicians try to sway votes by virtue signaling “ i do my own grocery shopping “ on a national scale during a debate .

Interesting what different lenses we see through. All the coverage I’ve seen has been about the huge monetary requirement, not the identity requirement.
I wonder how they’ll even negotiate the legality of verifying that. My former employer’s HR department got in hot water over asking about that kind of thing because it is supposedly illegal in Canada. But maybe that’s another “rules for thee but not for me” exception for political parties.
