      it looks increasingly likely that the shooter was a far right wing lunatic (he appears to be a member of Nick Fuentes Groyper group). if this is confirmed it should be all anyone talks about for like a god damn year after the way the right tried to baselessly attack dems for it.

      And the right is all up in arms because the left isn’t apoplectic over Kirk’s demise.

      We don’t support what happened. We pretty well all have said that. We feel badly for his family. We don’t think it should have happened. We would all LOVE to have a conversation about how to lower the temperature and save more lives from shit like this.

      And actual leaders on the right like this one are bummed they can’t blame immigrants to further their crusade in that direction. Can’t blame immigrants. Can’t blame trans people. So blame the whole left for not getting choked up over someone who spread hate under the guises of Christianity. Right?

      They want their glorious, righteous vengeance and since the actual shooter isn’t from one of the groups they want vengeance on they will just take it out on everyone else.

      If they had any ability for introspection they would be horrified.

      The right spent all day yesterday calling for a war and wanting to punish this „leftist/immigrants/transgender/antifa/blm/Marxist/atheist monster“ they were so sure was Kirk’s killer.

      Now watching them pivot to this „poor lost soul“ message has been…interesting. And they’re doing it without acknowledging how off the rails they went. Trump even said that he didn’t care and excused right wing violence while still blaming the left.

      Not an ounce of integrity between the whole lot of them.
