This is not new. Countries around the world do background checks on everybody and can deny anyone they want.
Have a DUI and want to go to Canada? Better lay low, You’re not allowed in the country and will be turned away at the border.
Stay longer than 90 days in another country with no explanation? Yeah you’re probably getting a knock at the door or at least some questions. They track hotel check ins.
While this is a statement for political purposes, they already do this shit anyways, everybody does.
Why should we give visas to people who celebrate the murder of one of our citizens?
