Realistisch gesehen, wie weit sind wir Ihrer Meinung nach aus „Gedankenverbrechen“?

Maybe I’m wrong because I didn’t follow nor agree with Mr Kirk but I feel like everything I have seen from him would disagree with this? As in people have a right to have their opinion and say it, doesn’t mean you have to agree or like it.  I don’t agree with what people are saying but I feel like firing people and reporting them is bonkers. 

Oh they’re itching for it. I’ve been saying: define anything left of Trump „radical left terrorism“ then start removing civil liberties. They did it with people protesting Israel, they’ll do it for this too. Trump already called for this in his AI video that he posted.

Surely this can’t backfire

This whole outrage seems to be just a free speech issue. Either we have the free speech as outlined in the US constitution, or we don’t. I’m a hardcore free speech advocate, I believe that people should be able to say that Charlie Kirk deserved to die or that people who celebrate Charlie Kirk’s death deserve to die. People should have their god given right to their opinions/beliefs. However, just because you believe something or disagree with another persons’ opinions on certain matters, does not give you the right to kill/injure/attack that person ever, in any capacity. Winston Churchill said it best… “Everyone is in favor of free speech. Hardly a day passes without its being extolled, but some people’s idea of it is that they are free to say what they like, but if anyone else says anything back, that is an outrage.”

People lose their jobs over things they post on the internet all the time

It would be funny how quickly they went from “protect free speech at all costs” to “stomp out free speech at all costs” if there weren’t real people involved.

Getting someone fired from their job, especially over something like this, is a very bold move. I’m intrigued to find out if there will be retaliation.

Soon we will all understand the shows of grief North Koreans display when one of their dear leaders passes away… grieving “the right way”, publicly, for the right people will be closely observed, and lack of the proper display, will have consequences.
