I love that Trump is the one breaking all the news. Certain he’s going to claim to be a hero for this in some way. He alone was responsible for bringing the guy to justice

    2. I’m sure there’s no chance of this being a false flag for other shit. Or if anyone can trust Kash Patel to even believe this is the actual shooter.

    3. He’s in custody with a high degree of certainty? High degree that the person did it or that they have a guy?

Hey anyone here ever read about Horst Wessel? no reason, probably nothing but honestly just wondering.

If Trump is saying it, it’s probably not true. Trump needs to sacrifice someone or he’ll look weak.

Trump went on Fox Entertainment to announce this then precedes to make the rest of the interview about himself.

“ The President said the suspect’s father and ***church minister*** turned in his son after the brutal assassination.

Well, let’s see where THIS goes.

Edit: I mean in regards to political leanings and where that will go. And, also, potentially confessing to a minister and being turned in by the church rep.

Why would any reasonable person ever give Donald Trump’s statements an ounce of credibility … everything that man says is a fantastical lie

    9. I feel like our president and his cabinet are a Twilight Zone of The Three Stooges. Over and over every single minute of the day.

What a weird thing to do. After one botched public announcement and a second suspect released, Trump comes out ahead of the FBI and says he “thinks” they have the guy?

there are a lot of people on the right that are furious with the current administration and it’s allies for refusing to release the Epstein files. we like to paint the right as a monolith (mostly because they vote like they are), but there are some extreme factions within the right that have genuine (and dangerous) convictions.

      > a group that mobilized the youth to vote for Trump

I mean. Variety. This is just an irresponsible account of what Turning Point is. Just plain irresponsible.

    13. How can Trump go on fox news and announce this, and then say he deserves the death penalty, and then anyone expect for this suspect to have a fair trial?

    14. Does anyone find the media reporting on this odd? They’re taking Trump’s word like he wouldn’t be wrong and this whole saga is over. It’s really weird.

Also, anyone else think this might be a combination of a sarcastic kid, a crazy father, a dumb president and idiot media? I do. If this kid was trolling his dad, that would be fucking amazing…

I don’t believe them. I don’t believe anything coming out of this administration.

Calling it now: Shooter was a Republican and Fox/Newsmax will immediately shift to the narrative of „It doesn’t matter who did it, it matters how the left reacted“.

    17. So someone „misguided with mental health issues“? Since he didn’t say „trans lib terrorist“ a bunch of times

With a high degree of certainty Dumpf raped and sexually assaulted children. Release the Epstein files.

    19. It’s weird how much the President of the US is controlling the narrative and information release regarding a slain private citizen. Charlie was involved in politics, but not a politician. Why was it the President who first announced his death? Why was it the President who announced they’ve apprehended a strong suspect? It’s all so very strange that it becomes suspect.

      „We have him“.

I know this is beating a dead horse, but I miss the times when we could expect careful public statements by people in positions of importance.  In no fucking way should anyone in authority be saying „we have him.“

The responsible thing is to say „we have a suspect in custody.“  The former way of saying it is sloppy, supposes to bypass the legal process, and contributes to the ever-increasing trend of snap judgments in increasingly volatile times.

He’s asking people to remain calm… dude was likely MAGA or alt-right or just nuts altogether

The shooter is a white male from a considerably conservative and Christian family.

    23. LittleSnuggleNugget on

Who could have ever suspected it would be a generic looking white Christian boy and not a blue haired, liberal, trans woman with facial piercings?!

UT governor really eager declare their suspect guilty: „we got him!“

guy’s attorney already has plenty of legal ammo

The guy’s father is wearing a III Percenter T Shirt in one of the released pictures. Looks like a right wing nut.
