I saw this happen in San Diego. Back when I was in my early 20s, I would frequent nightclubs. Clubs would open and be the young hot club playing house music. Then they would die down and become the Asian edm club. Then eventually become the hip hop club before shutting down, getting renovated and starting the cycle all over with a new name and a few new decorations. I was in line for a club on the second stage, and there was a young black man in front of me. They turned him away because he was wearing a sport coat over a white t shirt. The bouncer told him „well you could just take that off“ and then let me in wearing a graphic tee. I didn’t feel good about that.
