What happened to Charlie is abhorrent and vile.
But this sub needs to not be people demeaning the other political party because everyone thinks the other side are “lunatics with guns that have gone so low and will stop at nothing”.

This very thought crossed my mind. A lot of heat on Israel and a lot of right leaning folks turning in them. As far as I know, I don’t think Kirk was speaking out YET. But I do believe his Turning Point conference hosted a debate with Dave Smith where he obliterated another guy over Israel.
But…. what better way to get attention off Israel than to ignite a civil war in the US. Ukraine lady getting murdered weeks ago and it getting dragged into the headlines like some race bullshit, when the dude was obviously mentally unwell. And then Kirk getting assassinated on live TV? Suspect for sure

He never turned on them as far as I know. In fact, quite the opposite.
Yes there were rumours about that for months.
Speculating:
He never connected with younger generation because of his uncritical support for whatever Israel was doing.
So he was of no use to Israel for the future as influencer but as a „martyr“ he could be valuable.
**Another theory** would be that he was shot by pro Ukraine activist – Charlie was advocating for cutting aid to Ukraine.
