The title reads as if a single, wealthy Indian was spending a ton of money on some weddings which had me confused for a moment.
I find the data hard to believe. The N of 3500 can’t be used to reliably predict 11 Million weddings across different cultures and religions. Just for reference, nominal per capita income was 2.5 Lakhs and to be in top 10% of earners you need to earn 10 Lakhs annually.
