Charlie Kirk “You will never live in a society when you have an armed citizenry and you won’t have a single gun death. That is nonsense. It’s drivel. … I think it’s worth to have a cost of, unfortunately, some gun deaths every single year so that we can have the Second Amendment to protect our other God-given rights. That is a prudent deal. It is rational.” 2023 TPUSA event.
If only the National Guard had been there to make Utah as safe as DC.

I have no sympathy for Charlie Kirk. But this is going to be used to show how “dangerous the left is.” And fuel trump’s authoritarian power grab and crack down.

As much as I disagree with his politics this is fucking sad.
The death of America is going to be violent. I don’t want any part of this.

In Utah? Interesting. Wasn’t he quoted saying something about gun deaths being worth it to have the 2nd amendment?

I wish this would be a turning point for the right on gun regulation, but it seems far more likely to be an acceleration for the oppression of minorities, trans people, and liberals.

Of course it happened in that extremist liberal blue state … Utah.

I won’t celebrate a murder, but. It’s harder to feel sympathy for people who peddle cruelty.
I do feel it, because this person has loved ones and a consciousness. Because I insist that I do feel it, instead of indulging in feeling or thoughts that might compromise my own consciousness.
I’d write „thoughts and prayers“ if I prayed, but I don’t. Instead, I’ll share that I’m horrified and sad for this fellow’s family. He made me work for that sympathy.. That’s unfortunate.

I’m sure right wingers will just brush this under the rug like the assassination of the Minnesota state senator and her husband and they surely won’t make a huge deal of this calling for a civil war

I’m not advocating for violence but anyone who thought there was any other outcome to these chain of events without violence were and are deluding themselves. This isn’t the beginning of it and it’s certainly not the end.
Hold on everyone – this is gonna get even uglier. Look out for each other and try and lead with kindness to your local communities.

He ain’t surviving that shot. Rifle to the neck.
Why is it that some 7-11s carry the jalapeño & cream cheese taquitos, but not all of them? They are the best ones!
