    1. That’s his bestest pal in the whole world Jeffrey Epstein, right? I forget the exact phrasing he used but it didn’t sound all that regretful.

    2. Sharaz_Jek123 on

      >In the interview, Lord Mandelson goes on to suggest there are further email exchanges between himself and Epstein that „we know are going to surface“.

He wouldn’t have even bothered to „apologise“ if the latest evidence hadn’t been published and now he is trying to get ahead of further revelations.

Who knows what more there is to uncover?

      Drip, drip, drip.

    3. But did he have that regret before his name popped up in the news or after he got found out to be best buddies with a kiddy fiddler?

To quote Mr Farage, I’m just asking a question. 🙂

You don’t get to carry on the acquaintance/contact/association/whatever word means I barely knew him game after you call him your best pal you donkey.

    5. rationalmisanthropy on

      He’s 100% a nonce, but we’ve all known that since the 1990s.

The real issue here is that the President of the United States is unequivocally a paedophile and a groomer.

The Commander in Chief has had sexual relations with underage teenage girls and no one in the United States seems to be doing the slightest thing about it.

Are none of these journalists going to ask him what he meant by “yum yum”?

    7. Agreeable_Falcon1044 on

I remember when someone I knew from college was arrested for downloading certain material. It took me about 2 minutes to delete him from my social media profiles and then after he was sentenced, I never really thought about contacting him again.

We are always a bit blind to the faults in our friends but I would have thought being an actual nonce would be enough to not warrant a lot of soul searching

It’s ok to have a long standing close relationship with a convicted notorious paedophile sex trafficker in today’s Labour party, just make sure you don’t have actual left wing views or criticise Israel too honestly.

Mandelson is one of the slimiest and most unpleasant people in British politics. Ignoring this whole Epstein thing, he has had to resign multiple times for corruption and has been exposed multiple times for having dodgy associations with Russian oligarchs and foreign regimes.

One of the first signs Starmer’s government weren’t going to change anything was when they brought this ghoul back into the fold and made him ambassador.

    10. Man who wrote creepy nonce poem about his love for his nonce best friends nonce island denies he’s a nonce or had been noncing on the nonce island

    11. sheslikebutter on

This is just the exact same statement he said the first few times. He just keeps his messaging clear and expects people to let him continue to work for us.

He’s just gotten away with it essentially. Keir Starmer still leans on him constantly and made him US Ambassador. He is still regularly on Politics shows on BBC, ITV and Sky.

      Absolutely insane.

    12. Bear in mind he stayed friends with him AFTER he Epstein was released from prison the first time…

    13. Diligent-Suspect2930 on

‚There are also allegations that Lord Mandelson stayed in Epstein’s New York home while he was in prison for soliciting a minor in 2008/9.‘

He couldn’t have been very bothered about that, then, since he clearly wasn’t sorry to have met him at the time and didn’t think it appropriate to end that friendship immediately

    14. Hedgehopper25 on

He regrets very deeply being caught out and his appalling birthday wishes to Epstein being published.

    15. Which_Challenge_9754 on

Bit late for that bullshit apology now 😒 guess he’s kinda hoped little or nothing would be said about him and bigger fish would have been getting the headlines n flak

    16. DandyLionsInSiberia on

He had mountains of money ( at least on paper). Wrapped himself in the tatty virtue of “liberal philanthropy.” In reality? A ruthless, manipulative, predatory sleaze, all surface charm and suppurating snake-oil beneath..

He duped and snared people from every political postcode..

.. left, right, and the soggy middle. Add Mandy to the roll call, allegedly alongside Trump, the Clintons, and half the world’s rich / serving members of respective target political establishments..

The list doesn’t just go on. it stinks on and exposes the manner in which establishment figures can be wowed with a few sweaty wods, a facade of liberal (or conservative) conceit+ a few gaudy trinkets.

    17. Doesn’t seem like he’s sorry.

Seems like he’s sorry he was caught being friends with a sex trafficking pedophile.

    18. TheGardenBlinked on

So… is this leading to a resignation due to the dripping of bad press harming his position? Or, are we going to follow the current US model and throw integrity out of the window and defecate on it?

    19. Willywonka5725 on

So regretful that he stayed „best pals“ with him after already being arrested for being a nonce?

This is the same guy that talks about „interesting guests“ that Epstein left him with, using quotation marks on the words interesting. But yeah he didn’t know.

This isn’t going away you nonce protecting twat.

    20. TheCharalampos on

In the bin with Mandelson. At best it shows hhe is a terrible judge of character and situations.

    21. GianfrancoZoey on

I remember when he was appointed people were laughing and saying what a great appointment it is because he’ll get along with Trump (implying this is because they’re both associated with Epstein)

It was then I understood that there is *nothing* some centrists won’t excuse if it means making the ‘smart sensible’ political decision. They have no morals, no principles at all, just a pathological need to acquiesce to power at every opportunity because that’s the easiest thing to do.

They talk about making hard decisions but that always means attacking the most vulnerable, never taking a stand for anything worthwhile

    22. Sudden-Conclusion931 on

Mandelson is really the standard bearer for the kind of nakedly corrupt, completely amoral scum that rises to the top. He’s a parasite, slithering around the globe, ingratiating himself with the wealthiest and most powerful people he can orbit, engineering opportunities to position himself in the middle of deals as an oily facilitator and taking his cut. He doesn’t care who they are, where they’re from, what theyre involved in, how they’ve made their money, or who they’ve hurt. All he cares about is whether they’re powerful enough to be immune from the rules, regulations and scrutiny that govern the rest of us, to maximise his own wealth and minimise the chances that he will ever have to account for himself. I don’t believe for a second that he didnt know what kind of man Epstein was or what was going on.

    23. Shock horror! Mandelson is well known to be involved with shady Epstein types for years now. I have no idea how he is still relevant or in a major public position with the bodies in his closet.

    24. Yes Peter your choice of friends is very telling I know it’s hard to let go when he was providing you that special service that he is known for

    25. tainted – needs to be sacked, I want to see a pogrom of known JE associates removed from whatever office they hold and investigated.

Otherwise we all need to get used to the idea we are ruled by a very significant number of kiddie fiddlers.

    26. A friendship with Epstein should last no longer than about 2 seconds after you learn about what goes on on his island.

    27. _No_Use_4_A_Name_ on

Only sorry now that’s its come to light! What’s up with all these paedos?

    28. ExistentialRosicky on

Removing him and getting in someone without a history with Epstein (or other sex offenders) is a layup, right? Please? The bar is on the floor
