The one thing that truly unites the countries of the world: treating teachers as disposable
Finland seems to be the only ones who succeeded in that regard

Instead of increasing the budget, it’s probably better to decrease the amount to work they do. There seems to be too many extracurricular activities and other activities not directly related to classroom activities.
IT especially AI may help with „take home“ activities. They shouldn’t be taking them home but I think the school should be using some budget to assist teachers become more productive.

My wife is a teacher, it’s just awful. Freaking clubs every Saturdays and Sundays.

The entire school system is messed up. Unless they change from the ground up teachers will never have enough time to do all the things they have to and will always work overtime or weekends and their life will basically be their job. Do not become a teacher in Japan it’s not worth it.
I get mails from teachers at their desks at 9 or 10 pm every so often, when I’ve been home for 5 hours. And recently many kids behave like little shits or don’t study or pay attention, and then it’s somehow the teachers fault. And the parents will also often blame teachers instead of their brats.
Thankless job, not worth doing.
