Given the new trove of documents circulating their way around I don’t see how they can stop anything now. The train has left the station. If enough republicans are looking for a clean way to do away with Trump then there won’t ever be a better opportunity than this but I won’t hold my breath.

The magas around me are pretty hunkered down in the, “pedophile lover” camp… but we still need the facts to come out.

I was going to comment something snarky but ———————————Redacted—————————

I don’t wanna get my hopes up. This cockroach seems to get away with everything.

From every conversation you see with journalists, Trump is not a popular figure with many in the GOP Congressional ranks. There are true MAGA believers, but many are just Republicans who are simply scared about speaking up in any way. If Epstein is a thing that takes Trump himself down, I think there will be a lot of private celebrations as they like the policy, but not the crazy and retributions. Heck, I’m convinced even a Vance or Rubio are in this camp. They think it’s about the policy when, in truth, a cult stripped of the cult leader doesn’t survive.

The files they have (other than the ones just delivered from the estate of Epstein) are mostly already public. Release everything from DoJ unredacted.

If I had a nickel for every thing that was supposed to “end” Trump, I could afford to live in his economy.

If you’ve ever seen a church congregation defend a pedophile preacher you know exactly how things are going to go if those files get released. That’s Trump’s people.

Like everything, pedophilia will be forgiven when it’s their people doing it. There will be lots of talk about „moving on“ and „forgiving imperfect people“ and all the other BS you hear from rape apologists.

    9. so many republicans are torn by this obvious opportunity to jettison trump

they will be gutless, as usual, and not take the opportunity

I want this to be fast forward so I can get to the new goalposts. I’m dying to hear what will be said when explicit incontrovertible evidence states he was a kingpin over trafficking underage girls with his modeling agency….

    11. They can’t get their lies straight

      1. It doesn’t exist
      2. He’s an informant
      3. There’s no letter
      4. It’s not his signature
      5. He’s not an informant
      6. It was created by Obama

Get the fuck out of here

Anyone have the whole article so I can see why they are so optimistic?

    13. What do yall reckon are the odds of Trump just going „fk it imma drop a nuke before I die“ ? Because it’s not 0%

    14. Given the number of historical „Trump is doomed because of…something“ headlines, I’ll wait until it happens. He’ll likely pardon a lot of people he likes (if they’re not redacted), and the SC will grant him immunity because the files were released while he was in office or some other handwavium.

    15. homesickalien337 on

They’re just buying time to make a forgery of a realistic seeming Epstein files with only Democrats or other political enemies on it to release.

And US mainstream media won’t question it in any way, I fear.

    16. YogurtclosetOwn4786 on

Likely doomed does not mean are doomed. They are not doomed until there are enough signatures on the discharge petition to bring it to a vote. Last I checked they have been stuck at needing two more republicans for a while. Until that happens, there is no vote.

    17. Wake me up when any of it matters. Its all so disgusting but i have zero faith anything will come of it. Ill continue to cross my fingers but man i have been black pilled to such an extreme degree with this stuff

A cult has the following features: It is a collective unhealthy relationship where individuals lose their sense of self to the larger group and where those new relationships supersede the other, presumably, more healthy relationships in a person’s life. In essence, the former person is replaced by the new cult identity. In this model, the cult leader exerts undue and harmful influence over the members. They, in turn, sacrifice their well-being and autonomy in service to the leader’s wants and needs.

I wouldn’t count on the gop to do the right thing regarding anything these days.

Vance should make his move here if he was the power hungry weasel he doesn’t pretend to be.

    20. AToastyPieceOfToast on

Yeah, and let’s see what happens about it? My money is on absolutely nothing.

    21. But they’ve all known of this so I’m not seeing any different outcome. I mentioned to my Republican in our family chat how they’re enabling a known pedophile and America has turned into a fascist state and it not fucking normal, just to see what their stance is on it now. My older sister the matriarch of the family just post a recent picture of her newest grandchild and not a peep out of anyone. It’s so frustrating being the only Dem!

    22. Fox News is pushing the birthday letter very hard. Bill Clintons birthday letter.

    23. I think it’s all ruse seeing how Trump has been scrubbed from the documents. „See I told you I wasn’t in it. And look at all these Democrats.“ Mark my words.

    24. Basset_found on

Who physically has the documents? Is it the DoJ? If so, what happens if they just refuse to release them? Are they going to arrest themselves? Pam Bondi isn’t flipping on Trump.

    25. I wonder if Johnson has to report his time spent with trump to his son as ‚porn time‘?

    26. GuitarGeezer on

Let’s hope. This is likely what Johnson had told him would eventually happen which is why he began to concoct big lies in a fountain of falsehoods for smokescreen cover.

Even the most damning evidence won’t convince those with a fundamentally broken moral compass.
