I guess every country that decided against cooperating in military matters with France must feel vindicated now.
On the flipside Germany must feel stupid now having hoped that RN would not get to power even after they [explicitly stated they would stop military cooperation](https://www.euractiv.com/section/politics/short_news/le-pen-wants-to-stop-military-cooperation-with-germany/) which I assume means weapons deliveries as well Germany if elected.

I absolutely hate the French presidential/parliamentary system.
It always feels like Hindenburg in the making.
Seeing this, I feel like the guy in the picture
If either RN or AfD get into power, the European project is as good as dead.
Don’t forget it’s not just one election, but 577 local elections in a 2 round system. Polls just give the number of voters but not the composition of the Assembly.
In 2024, RN was given winner, had the most voters in first round, but ended 2nd in number of representants.
I hope we get rid of the UE veto before this eventually comes true…

For anyone wondering, those are the same figures as for the past 5 years. About 30% left, 30% right, 35% far right
Looks like traditional parties are completely out of the picture now.
I see a lot of comments about RN being far-right, but I’m curious to know what policies make them far-right?
No majority = no power
No majority = the president doesn’t have to name one of them as PM
France isn’t a parliamentary system, the president holds the cards unless a group gets a majority to go against him.
Also don’t believe the polls, they’ve all been terribly wrong when predicting the past 2 elections. They all had the RN get an absolute majority for the last snap elections yet that’s not what happened.
At this point the French must be like „oh, the government collapsed? must be Monday“
Damn the left is really in the mud. Not just in France either.
Will this be the way how parties now try to get votes. By blocking the government that is now?
Here’s hoping the far right fails. Again.

Those who conduct these polls are part of the propaganda system.
Where in the bars is a 9 and a 19?
If you look at the numbers from the poll, NFP is at 24%. But if you look at the banner at the bottom of the screen it says that PS, PCF and the Ecologists will have 19% and LFI 9%.
But the NFP is PS, PCF, Ecologists, LFI and some smaller others. So their total should be at least 28%.
Once again some poll without value shared by the far right because that’s how their propaganda works.
Not a surprise to see OP post history in these conditions.
