Am 8. kündigte Mitsubishi Electric an, dass es 53 Jahre alt ist, und die Mitarbeiter der Mitarbeiter für freiwillige Altersvorsorge. Die finanziellen Ergebnisse des Unternehmens für das Geschäftsjahr bis März 2025 zeigten eine starke Leistung, wobei Umsatz- und Betriebsgewinne neue Höhen erreichten. Das Unternehmen überarbeitet jedoch seine Geschäftsstruktur und ergriffen die freiwillige Altersvorsorgeinitiative, um seine Belegschaft zu verjüngen.
Das Programm steht Vollzeitbeschäftigten offen, die ab 53 Jahren oder älter sind und mindestens drei Jahre lang ab dem 15. März 2026 sowie für diejenigen, die nach dem Ruhestand eingearbeitet wurden, gearbeitet. Von den 42.000 Mitarbeitern des Unternehmens erfüllen 10.000 diese Bedingung (8.000 Vollzeitbeschäftigte und 2.000 Reh-Mitarbeiter).
Die Anzahl der rekrutierten Personen wurde nicht festgelegt. Der Einstellungszeitraum ist voraussichtlich vom 15. Dezember 2025 bis zum 9. Januar 2026 statt.

It seems major companies are trying to change organization to allow more new ideas so it can become more competitive. Japanese companies seems to have slowly been losing competitive grounds to companies in other countries.
Japanese society seems to favor defacto and resist rapid changes. This helped with „improving“ on existing products. But with internet and AI rapidly changing the market, there’s a need for a more rapid change.
Japan has been able to change rapidly when it decided to open ports after decades of isolation policy. It also changed rapidly after the end of WWII to rise to become number 2 in GDP ranking. In other words, if there is a strongly leadership, it is possible to Japan to change again.
The current situation requires more diversity. The current world has become much closer together and it is necessary to people with different views to live and associate with each other. As was when the ports were opened after decades of isolation, there are groups who fear change and want to revert back to isolationism but looking back, I think the right choice was made to open the ports and to go out and learn from other countries and culture. I think it is time again that such challenge is needed.
