This is Jana, one of our most photogenic HR members. We think she called all of our employees trash at the last meeting but to be fair to Jana, that could have been anyone at the table. Our memory is not so great when it comes to self-accountability.

This seems like a good way to alienate even more people to the brand.
They should push the national pride angle by focusing on Fanta, the Coke product developed under the Nazis due to the trade embargo against them. Germans would love that, right?
China can basically collapse the demographics of an entire ethnic group in the name of Han dominance and Chinese products (beyond cars which are being tariffed to protect domestic production) don’t suffer this type of reputational damage. Products made with slave labor flow into Europe from Xinjiang and not an eye is batted among consumers.
US, while still being the guarantor of NATO security, the predominant weapons supplier to Ukraine, having US service members die in a NATO exercise in Eastern Europe this year, and generally being the reason why two current major non-NATO democracies have not been jumped by their neighbors, with 70,000 service members buried in Europe because of its „civil wars“ …. has a poor product image among Europeans because Trump is a troll that says mean things.
Fuck the Europeans, the cost of standing up the infrastructure and logistics to be the most powerful military in Europe is more expensive than weapons sales to Europe.

Not the first time Coca-Cola has had to do a rebrand in Germany. Not the only thing similar between this time and last time.
I’ve been wondering how to refer to this troubled time. “U.S. image crisis.” One possibility. I also remember “Dynamic macro economic environment.” I think I’ll just stick with Shit Show, for now anyway.
„Coca Cola, made in Germany. sometimes war.“ just doesn’t have the same ring to it.
