Oh that’s too bad, but we’re not responsible for the world’s problems. The next headlines after this will be “Haitians and Venezuelans in U.S warn of deportation unless Canada intervenes”
I suspect most Canadians would welcome these political dissidents, and the government should make it easier for them to come here. But with the system clogged by bogus applicants, I wonder if the government just doesn’t have the resources to help the people who truly need protection.

They should have came here when you dissented. Hindsight is 20/20, but them’s the breaks.
Sending back dissidents and army deserters will only show other Russian citizens that they have no choice but to fight. These are real refugees.
Make the offer to take them and let Trump embarrass himself by refusing or we can absorb them.
Just because they didn’t want to be drafted doesn’t mean they don’t agree that Ukraine shouldn’t belong to Russia.
