Dies war der Höhepunkt monatelanger harter Arbeit. Es war fantastisch! Ich habe den ganzen Weg durch die Hölle gekämpft, um diese Arbeit zu machen. Jeden Tag hatte ich eine Wäscheliste mit Problemen zu lösen. Auch am Starttag.
Jede Student und Moderator -Rakete flogen. Wir haben insgesamt 24 Raketen auf den Markt gebracht! Mehrere Studenten erhielten ihre Jr. -Zertifizierung. Der Standortrekord für die Gesamtstart an einem Tag gebrochen. Es war super beschäftigt, ich lud Motoren und führte ununterbrochene Überprüfungen vor, wobei ich anhand ihres Fluges für jede Raketenanpassung angepasst habe.
Es ist eine Sache, eines dieser Raketen selbst mit früheren Erfahrungen und einem Luft- und Raumfahrthintergrund zu bauen. 30 andere Menschen ohne Erfahrung und so jung wie 9 zu unterrichten ist ein anderer. Kombinieren Sie dies mit dem Wettbewerb mit Schullängern (Track, Fußball usw.), um sich von den Schülern zu verpflichten/zu behalten. Then there’s marketing, procurement of over 1000 items, storage of over 1000 items (see my apartment pics 😂), program development, pacing the bootcamp so everyone finishes on time, organizing transport and food, fundraising, running downtown with stacks of 5ft long PVC, funny looks from neighbors, crazy comments online, training all the facilitators, sacrificing my social life, working through insane stress from all corners of my life, cuts, bruises, Tränen der Freude, Tränen des Schmerzes, Schweißliter, ich habe alles in dieses …
Und es hat sich alles gelohnt.
Ich würde das sofort wieder tun, und ich werde es größer und besser. Ich habe es herausgefunden. Ich kann dieses Programm mit 30 Raketen durchführen, so dass ich und werde ich es natürlich tun. Dann mache ich 1000 und dann 10.000. Ich werde weitermachen, ich werde immer die Messlatte erhöhen, diesen Zug nicht anhalten. Meine Rakete wird den Raum erreichen, und dann wird ich an Bord meiner Rakete den Raum erreichen, und dann wird die Gemeinschaft, die ich an Bord meiner Raketen erstelle, den Raum erreichen.

When I was growing up in the 80s and 90s model rockets were one of my favorite things. Going to the hobby store and getting a new kit and pack of engines, and the whole building process and then the launch. Love seeing it kept alive
