    1. Remind me what the point of trade deals actually are if they’re not to do this exact type of thing?

    2. Trump seems to be learning NOW, that people won’t trade with you if there aren’t incentives, at the same time you’re screwing them over…

So, items that should not have tariffs in the first place:

„The cuts cover items that „cannot be grown, mined, or naturally produced in the United States“ or produced in sufficient volume to meet domestic demand.“

The bully steals your lunch. Then comes back to graciously offer to sell your lunch back to you?

    5. ??? Is he negotiating against himself by constantly making concessions when the other side isn’t engaging?

Dude acts like a spoiled child. The USA lost the respect which Obama etc created. Well done dude …

The point is to keep the forums and threads full of this and less of the things he’s doing that’s really gonna shock people in 12 months or so and it’s working, the media is gobbling up non sense like crazy, by the time they deal with last weeks crisis he’s already created 2 new ones, to create confusion and chaos is the goal

In fact, he has imposed huge tariffs on countries as a permanent measure, and now, through targeted easing, he will regulate trade only for goods that benefit the United States. At any time, he can raise the tariff from zero to a massive amount.

How many times are the tariff rates supposed to change? No one can plan around this.

Tariffs go up and tariffs come down.

The uncertainty of the tariffs is making the effects of the tariffs worse. If the Supreme Court strikes down the tariffs later this year, all hell is breaking loose.

    11. Well, 50% punitive tax to buy from a country with a surplus with the USA because they don’t want the little friend who tried a coup and failed to be judged for the crime he committed under the laws of that country seemed like a good measure.

He only needed to exempt around 700 products before applying the taxes and neglected the fact that literally everything purchased from him is not produced in the USA or even in quantity to meet demand, imagine the largest producer and supplier of coffee and orange juice not being able to sell to the country because they do not accept political interference.

    12. Deals with the US right now are not worth anything. He can wake up tomorrow and rip it all up

    13. Trump Always Chickens Out, but now with breading by our failed legacy media’a help.

I thought the courts ruled that most of the tariffs are illegal anyway. He’s asking the Supreme Court to come to his rescue as always, but in the meantime why is he acting like he can continue as normal? Just another constitutional crisis or is this him removing the tariffs but pretending like it was his own idea to save face?

    15. Yeah ok grandpa no body cares anymore what you say. We’ll do deals with other nations. Good luck with your North Korean attitude. I’m sure it will turn out just fine.

Trump uses tariffs so he can control and exploit the market. Also tariff „exemptions“ can he made in certain situations. Those situations could involve investment in trump crypto, truth social, trump mobile phones/watches/sneakers or any number of money laundering fronts.

    17. He’s treating contracts like he’s orange Darth Vader. Pray I don’t alter it any further surely is a great idea in the real world…

And people wonder why the jobs are flagging.

Cause no one with money is ever going to invest in this flip flopper. It’s basic economics.

    19. And this ladies and gentlemen is the reason he is a serial bankrupt…..because he doesn’t have a clue…… maybe if he had actually read his own book (which he didn’t actually write or even have any input into it) things might be different

    20. Quick reminder, trump did not sign a single deala with this admin…. and he constantly yaps about how many he made….

    21. As a consumer I’m mad as hell that I am the one paying for this tariff tax. Not Mexico or China!

    22. I’m waiting for this to go full circle. Trump will claim „These Biden tariffs are a bad deal. I’m going to save the US economy by getting rid of them“. MAGA will cheer.

every fucking day we have to digest the crap the comes from this creature. when is the public going to stop?

    24. Familymanuae on

It’s hard to even keep up anymore with his tariff game. What the hell is he onto

    25. He’s gotta make nice with a few countries that he can escape to to avoid prosecution.

    26. artrald-7083 on

Nope. Your leader disobeyed his own laws to do this. He can fuck off. We’ll do business in the US again once you’ve sorted yourselves out.

    27. This is why you don’t have a single person running the economy from his golf course waffle bar!

We elected a deliberative body called Congress to represent the economic will of the people, debating and weighing the consequences of economic decisions.

Article I is very clear on this basic Constitutional fact.

The tariffs are an illegal usurping of Congress and we need to start talking about them that way every time they come up.

    28. HashtagDadWatts on

A reminder that this is why the framers gave the power of the purse to Congress and not a single executive. Zero deliberation and economic chaos.

    29. muffinhead2580 on

It’s illegal for him to impose tariff’s anyway. That is Congress’s job. What he says when it comes to tariffs only matters because the Republican can’t do their jobs. Fuck Johnson and the rest of the Trump followers.

    30. ferrets4ever on

Any of these orders are nothing but toilet paper. He’ll have a tantrum because someone looked at him a bit funny and rescind them.

    31. Feels like just a week ago that he said his tariffs were the only thing holding America together.

    32. How blunt does Article 1 Section 8 need to be? Congress has the power to regulate tarrifs with foreign nations. Period.

Sue and appeal to the SCOTUS. The world will finally get the answer as to whether to trade with the US or fuck off and let this failed democratic experiment fail.

    33. Can we move this along through the courts quickly… He has no legal right to apply tarrifs… Lower courts have ruled this already. This is nutz
