    1. >The Trump administration did not inform Congress of what happened. But in 2021, the Biden administration decided to brief top congressional officials. The difference in approach raises the question of whether the Trump team improperly or illegally withheld the information.[…]

      >The [New York Times](https://www.nytimes.com/2025/09/05/us/navy-seal-north-korea-trump-2019.html) reported on the previously secret episode this week.

From the above NY Times article:

      >When President Joseph R. Biden Jr. succeeded Mr. Trump, the gravity of the North Korea mission attracted renewed scrutiny. Mr. Biden’s defense secretary, Lloyd J. Austin III, ordered an independent investigation, conducted by the lieutenant general in charge of the Army inspector general’s office.
      >In 2021, the Biden administration briefed key members of Congress on the findings, a former government official said.
      >Those findings remain classified.

      Its not Congress doesn’t care.

Democratic leadership has known about the mission too and said nothing. As long as its overseas America can kill whoever it wants and face no repercussions.

It could be, but it won’t, because there are zero consequences for the ruling class. America sucks.

It could be if anyone was interested in holding him accountable. Nobody is, so no issue.

He didn’t notify congress on anything…. that was the issue. I bet the republican pedos knew.

What’s with all of the “would be, could be, should be” bullshit?! Do we not have fucking laws?!

    7. He is NEVER and has NEVER been held accountable for anything in his entire life.

No it won’t just like renaming the DOD he said will just do congress will go with it

    9. Congress doesn’t run America, Trump does. He doesn’t have to tell them shit. Frankly they’re useless, they do nothing and they cost a lot of money. Trump should disband Congress. Only 1 person is needed to make all the laws anyway.

^(edit: i really struggled with adding an /S but for those that don’t do sarcasm, here it is: **/S** )

    10. This isn’t a small paperwork oversight. Congress is supposed to be notified to keep checks and balances in place.

Spoiler alert, they made some mistakes, shot a boat full of people looking for shellfish, and then made sure to stab them in the lungs so that the bodies would sink.

And there’s also a story about a botched mission in Yemen that left villagers and a soldier dead, and a totaled a $75m plane.

Trump got rid of the guardrails on special ops missions, ok’d it, never thought to mention it to congress, and denies knowing about it.

Oh no! Whatever will happen now??! he better be careful of “consequences”

    14. Republicans covered for him being a pedophile but people think they’ll care about this?

      „Could be“

      „should be“

It’s only an issue if its enforced. Wake me when that happens.

    16. That’s fucking ridiculous. Biden would have done just 1% of that, all the GOP in the congress would be in fury. What are the Dems doing right now?

    17. Major-Breakfast6249 on

Correct me if I’m wrong but aren’t some operations supposed to be completely covert? How many elected memebers of congress knew about the assassination of Osama Bin-Laden? This feels like a big nothing burger to me
