When even Reuters has to delete a video because of pressure, it shows how powerful media control has become. Free press shouldn’t be negotiable in today’s world.

      Eh, click through to source.
„licensed by the China state television network, China Central Television (CCTV)“
„Reuters said in a statement that it withdrew the videos because it no longer held the legal permission to publish this copyrighted material.“
„“The editorial treatment applied to this material has resulted in a clear misrepresentation of the facts and statements contained within the licensed feed,“ wrote HE Danning, legal supervisor of CCTV News Agency, in the letter to Reuters on Friday.“We stand by the accuracy of what we published,“ Reuters said in its statement“

No footing to keep the video up AND continue to have access.

Hmm, Xi and Putin. What, we expect media manipulation? Never. o.O

Reuters is usually a good source but I guess that they are now all compromised.

      > „We stand by the accuracy of what we published. We have carefully reviewed the published footage, and we have found no reason to believe Reuters longstanding commitment to accurate, unbiased journalism has been compromised,“ Reuters wrote.

Did you remove the video? Then you didn’t stand by its accuracy.

    6. Wait! They were uncomfortable about video evidence of them discussing illegally harvesting human organs to prolong their lives and the lives of Oligarchs and the ultra wealthy. Kind of giving the game away that they actually have a black market human organ harvesting operation going on, that is basically state sanctioned? That’s somehow a bit problematic? Weird!

And that’s the end of information. All news past this point will be meaningless. It’s been nice knowing you

More proof we’re in an Oligarchy. And by we, I mean anyone in the world that doesn’t have a billion dollar networth.

If anything this just makes it worst. Everyone knows about it, and now it’s being hidden

    10. Reuters, we stand for truth and integrity! (Call from China) Ok just truth! (Call from Russia) You know what…

That by itself is hilarious because China has no copyright laws and will happily copy anything on earth and sell it off as their own knockoff brand.

Them suddenly caring about copyright when poo bear is made fun of is just comical.

You don’t mark your own exams.

We have Journalism to report on others, to provide a bit of transparency. Especially when there are possibly conflicts of interests people should become aware about – Like reporting on people in power actively discussing harvesting people with less power to stay in power to keep ruling over people with less power a lot longer.

Reuters has been compromised for a while.

Journalism in general is rapidly being seen and un trustworthy which is a huge problem.

So there’s exactly zero truly independent media outlets left on the planet. Great.

    15. Does someone have a transcript? I am really curious what they are talking about.

    16. Surely, someone has this video downloaded. They can’t make it completely disappear.

A shame that the world bows before Putler and Whinnie Puh. To hell with that scum.

    18. So much for independent media. I can put them on the same tainted bandwagon coat as the AP.
