SEOUL, Sept 6 (Reuters) – South Korean President Lee Jae Myung ordered all-out efforts on Saturday to respond to the arrests of hundreds of the nation’s citizens in a U.S. immigration raid on a Hyundai Motor (005380.KS), opens new tab car battery factory.

Foreign Minister Cho Hyun said the government has set up a team to respond to Thursday’s arrest of over 300 Koreans at the facility, under construction in the southern state of Georgia, and that he may go to Washington to meet with officials if needed.

    2. At the rate trump’s tariffs are helping the economy, We’ll be in a recession by year’s end.

    3. Here’s a foreign company doing just what Donnie TACO requested and investing in manufacturing in the United States and his administration of fuckwits arrests the people making it happen. Even if some of these people were working here on the wrong visa or whatever, you work it out with Hyundai, you don’t make it into an international incident. This is just another example of their overreaching incompetence.

And let’s see the unredacted (except for the victims‘ info) Epstein files!

If I’m Hyundai, I tell TACO that i’m abandoning that plant and he can stick it up his ass

    5. I’m curious about where Georgia’s governor was in all this. The state patrol was helping with this, and it probably just killed Georgia’s chances of getting another billion dollar+ LG plant.

Maybe my reading comprehension is shit but I cannot find anywhere the reason of the arrest. Shouldn’t they at least say something like suspected work visas expired? Or do they not even bother anymore?

    7. Just because they promised to invest $800B, it doesn’t give them a pash on the shakedown tax. $1M donation to the heaven fund right now. Its like when he stole the World Cup or Christopher mugged Lauren Bacall on the Sopranos. *It was there.*
