I did not need to read the phrase „Epstein Discharge“ this morning.
The perpetrators names will be redacted to „protect them from harassment.“
Won’t the administration just keep anything they don’t want to get out? How would anyone even know if they held back stuff?
Any Democrat that refuses to sign needs to resign.
„nudge“ lol. The petition has to get to 218 signatures. How many of those do you suppose will be Dem? Over 200 of them. That’s not a „nudge“, that’s doing the heavy lifting.
Anyone involved in the coverup of these files needs to be charged as an accessory. The people need to demand justice
Just to make it clear for those who didn’t read the article, every single Democrat in the House (212/212) has signed on. 4/219 Republicans have signed on. There will be special elections in deep blue districts to fill vacancies that will give this petition more votes later this month.
Every single Democrat has signed the discharge petition. Almost none of the Republicans have.
How about we have a public hearing and allow the victims to share their stories for all to hear?

Democrats are lining up to be about 91% of the vote to pass it, but sanewashing requires that we refer to that a nudge as if the Republican party is leading the effort.

Okay so the thing about this discharge petition is it still would have to pass the Senate which it probably will but then it goes to the president and I am almost positive he will not sign this so then it goes back to Congress and I don’t believe that you’ll see any change and getting it passed to override veto.
Call your elected officials people! Demand the release! Nudge them yourself!

The longer this waits the more time there is for donors to get money into the pockets of Boebert, MTG, and Mace and then change their vote.
Since no one seems to read the article, the discharge petition stays live until the end of the current Congress and needs just two signatures. There are currently four vacant seats in the House, three of which are in deep Blue districts. Two of those special elections will happen this month and both Democratic candidates have said they will sign the petition. The third is slated for Nov 4, so the petition could still pass if one Republican backs out.
It’ll be interesting watching the reactions of Americans over the next few years when absolutely nothing happens to anyone on the list.
What will happen if this discharge position passes and the House actually voted for it? Will the Senate act? Are there 60 votes to pass it in the Senate? And if it passes both chambers, and Trump vetoes it, then what? Can we actually get two-thirds of the House and Senate to override when we are barely even able to get a majority?

Okay wait just a second. If there are four vacant seats that means there’s only 431 House members that can currently vote on anything. 216, the number of votes Massie and Khanna have, is more than half of that. There are currently only 215 that have not signed onto it. What the fuck?
This feels like the easiest way to run against every single politician that voted to keep it away. Every response the same „My opponent protected people that SA’d children“. Repeat as needed.

PLEASE contact your Republican Congressional representative and demand they sign the Massey/Khanna discharge petition. Tell them your vote depends on it and you’ll be watching them to see what they do. Oh, and Johnson’s Oversight Committee distraction dump doesn’t count.
And, surprise, watch Republican signatures come off for „reasons“ as the others sign on.
