They’re 100% going to have commemorative Greta Thunberg jersey in a few years now.
Little known fact that bohs legend Glen Crowe is actually her godfather
Greta is a legend! Always on the right side of history. Fair play to Boh’s, from a Shamrock Rovers fan.
There was also an article from an American publication in the past few days with a headline along the lines of „Greta Thunberg wears jersey of controversial Dublin team“.
Fair play to her! Never understood the negative press she got. She’s achieved a lot more at a very young age than most of the people who criticise her.
Choosing Palestine or Ukraine makes it seem like her activism is more about visibility and “cherry-picking”.
What about other crises, such as the Sudanese civil war or Bangladeshi Hindu persecution.
She is silent on ongoing human rights abuses in countries like China (against Uyghur Muslims) or Myanmar (against Rohingya Muslims).
I think a lot of the hate Greta gets comes because she’s out there actually doing something and proving it can be done.
Very proud to have her associated with my team. She is a legend.
