      I just want to add, I can’t verify the legitimacy of who’s on what side. Inevitably we’re going to have someone say it’s the other way around.

    3. This lets you guess how closed the two armies are in terms of uniform, weapons, langage, etc..

      The guy must have spoken perfect Russian without accent to fool them.

      Remember at the beginning of the war when every Russian vehicles and equipment had Zs painted on them ? That’s was the only way to tell them from the Ukranian one…

      It is less true since the entire western world massively simplied Ukrainians with new western equipment, but at the start, the two armies were copies of each other.

      It has got to be an absolute mind fuck to sit there and have a convo with some guys and then blow their heads off out of nowhere. Completely different than a typical combat scenario.
