So Russian troops in Ukraine would also be legitimate targets ?!

    2. Ryan Mcbeth said WWIII started in 2014 when Russia annexed Crimea. Sometimes I wonder if he was right.

    3. Sums up the little bunker rat nicely.

‚We will try to kill any peacekeeping troops you send.‘

Say you don’t want peace, without saying you don’t want peace.

The countries pledging troops aren’t planning to send them until a ceasefire or peace deal is in place. If Russia targets them after a ceasefire or peace deal, well, that’s a declaration of war against one or more NATO countries. Good luck, Mr. Putin.

Big talk from a state that would lose Kalingrad in a heartbeat and has exposed troops in Africa.

    6. I don’t think the Russians realize the wrath of America military if you harm their guys to start problems.

Make change from the weekly nuclear threats and “crossed red lines” I suppose.

    8. Bearing in mind they would only be there after a ‘peace’ deal in which it seems likely he gets to keep what he has taken , it rather makes very clear his opinion of what a peace deal actually means.

They should be pretty safe as long as there are enough child hospitals left standing.

… while support for Russia from North Korea, China and Laos is totally OK, isn´t it ?

damn, 2 continents involved and still a special operations but not a World War ?

This bloke is getting rather confident now with his statements. He genuinely thinks he will win either way – by settlement or by force.

    12. Everyone thinks going to war is a great idea just because they are not the ones initially going to war, but I would like to know if they would be so eager to get involved if they were the ones going. Be careful with your desires…

Any Russian troop in Ukraine is also fair game.

In fact, any Russian soldiers in Russia are also fair game.

Yk as the days go on the idea of a hot war with Russia involving NATO members and the states (if agent lrasnov wasn’t our president) seems like a better idea

North Korean troops and any other foreign troops assisting Putin don’t count and get a target exemption because Putin says this is a war about peace and liberating the Ukrainian people. Just like China „liberating“ the people of Tibet. And Putin always tells the truth.

Oooh, that sounds so *scary*, surely everyone is quaking in their boots already. No?

And here we go…with at best another slap fight between the EU and Pumpkin.

This sucks…has for years. And I’m just curious.

Pretend Ukraine accepts peace on the current border of invasion. Those cities and towns and villages are gone. Just rubble.

You think russia has money or infrastructure to rebuild them and entice people to live there and build an economy that supports putin and his oligarchy?

Or will this war end with putin running and billions of funding go into rebuilding everything and guarding it?

    18. I’m telling if we don’t do preemptive nuclear strike in Russia they will. It’s only a matter of time. (no US will not be spared, or it would basically dominate everyone, when nukes start flying everyone gets some)

    19. Sure. He has to say it now, to deter the idea. Before its to late. And if he attacks, it will be very bad for him since the conflict will be out of the gray area for Europe.

    20. The truth is that in order to ensure peace the western troops has to come to Ukraine and has to be ready to be attacked by Russians and engage in a combat with them, on the ground, in air and in the sea, which mean to be absolutely prepared and aware to get into a war with Russia. It may not actually happen, because Russia itself can be afraid to get involved in to a war with more countries, but the chances are as high as the uncertainty of the west.

    21. I mean, nothing in Ukraine is a legitimate target.. hasn’t stopped RuZZia yet.

    22. almostsweet on

I think the Russians misunderstand what Europe meant by saying NATO troops would be available for peacekeeping inside of Ukraine.

What NATO was trying to say is if Ukraine and Russia can establish a peaceful ceasefire, NATO would be willing to place NATO troops in Ukraine to provide a security guarantee. They wouldn’t be legitimate targets for anything, the point is not to engage. They’d be there to prevent a restart of hostilities.

I think instead Putin saw red and immediately jumped to the conclusion that the words „NATO troops“ and „Ukraine“ meant automatic direct conflict and escalation.

Maybe it’s a language barrier or conceptual barrier. Or, maybe they just are getting so angry reading the first sentence they aren’t comprehending the entire document.

Edit: The Russians don’t seem to understand that you need both parties to agree to a peace treaty. The Ukrainians aren’t going to agree if they don’t have security guarantees. And, don’t worry we won’t invade isn’t going to cut it again.

How long was this war supposed to last? Russians, the lying asshole losers of the world.

„We’re bringing in a lot of soldiers from other countries, but *you* don’t get to do that.“

Dude is such a fucking hypocrite.

But I thought he was protecting Russian minorities and wasn’t interested in further territory…

    26. He has no military left. Let’s be honest if he tried to invade any other country they would be toast like in a second. The rapid response would just end his campaign

    27. Main_Product5071 on

That’s the whole point? Why would they not be?

Go ahead, attack, you still remember Finland right? So much border with NATO!!! Must attack Finland!!!

Answer of countries that literally border russia: „understandable, have a nice day“

Time for countries that border russia (e g., nordics, baltics) to start helping ukraine with manpower before they too need help.

    29. Well duh. Thats how war works.

The idea is that Putin would not dear to start a war with western troops. Which may or may not be a miscalculation.

Also, the idea here is for western troops to come in as part of an peace agreement to ensure the peace lasts. Very telling that Putin is already planning for hostilities to start again, should they temporarily pause.

Support Ukraine to bomb the russian economy to the stone age. That will bring lasting and just peace.
