Ah I see, all this time he’s been waiting for the exact right moment to take all of Ukraine.

Maybe if we meet with him 3 more times and give him 2 more weeks, he’ll change his mind.

      Edit: spelling

    3. That’s big talk for a dude that retreated from Kyiv with his tail between his legs.

Most serial killers go to prison. Not in Russia. Nope. They get medals.

    5. It’s gonna be amazing to see how they pull off the aim of finishing everything in „three days“ after the fact.

    6. If Putin truly believed he could achieve his military, or otherwise, goals he would not entertain any deal at all. He would decimate what’s left of Ukraine in the blink of an eye. He knows his time and his country’s resources have a shelf life and the end is approaching quickly. He knows his only real option is for Ukraine to deal instead of fight. Keep fighting, Ukraine.

Which he’s been saying for quite some time.

Now, how come Russia still controls less of Ukraine that it did in late 2022, three years ago?

If Russia could have ended it by force they would have done so a long time ago.

What Putin is hoping is that Ukraine will bow to these threats and negotiate before Russia’s weakness in taking the war to Ukraine is such that Ukraine gains an insurmountable advantage over Russia and starts crushing them.

As Ukraine starts to pump out more and more of its newest missiles, and gain more and more SAM defense along with some other assets assisting it on the front line there is a day coming where the tables will have truly turned.

Putin hopes to avoid that day via bluster and blarney. No one is falling for it

Putin has used the idea of a deal as a stalling tactic. It is difficult to tell how that will work out for him, especially since Ukraine has done a lot of internal damage to Russia in the last few weeks. Some think that Putin will suddenly throw the best that he saved for last into the fight, but he has lost over a million men and an unbelievable amount of resources. I dont believe the Ukrainians will ever truly surrender. The only thing keeping his war from being another Afghan occupation is the fact that it is next door.

    10. Well he has been good on his word and deeds so many times before, how can we not take him seriously now. He’s such a brilliant military leader, leading Ukraine into the biggest false sense of security in history with all the soldiers and conscripts ‚pretending‘ to be dead on Russia’s side. /s

This clown has just been mindlessly repeating “achieve all our aims” for the past nearly 4 years now

    12. ShitNailedIt on

The reason that statement came out is because he hasn’t been able to, so….

    13. They have been fighting for 3+ years, and have not achieved their goals. Why would anyone believe them now?

    14. kayl_the_red on

The language of a bully. *“Give me what I want or I’ll hit you and take it.“*

    15. Haven’t they already, repeatedly, claimed that all military goals have been achieved?

    16. BootstrapGarrote on

so hes saying its that easy and hes just been throwing his troops lives away… for funsies?

    17. The BBC is garbage; „agree to a deal“? He’s calling for UA surrender, there is no „deal“.

    18. CaramelCritical5906 on

Sure Pooooteeee!! Just like the 3 day military operation!!!! The Orange Narcissist and the Convicted war criminal have something in common!!!
      THEY BOTH LIE!!!!!

    19. Wait, they haven’t been trying to achieve all aims military? There isn’t going to be much of a military left to try to achieve anything..

    20. majakovskij on

First I thought something like „who does listen to this man?“.

But then I thought – do I hear a begging for negotiations?… (Of course in this stupid manner of „look at me, I’m in charge here, I decide and give orders“, but still)

    21. The_Starving_Autist on

If they could achieve all aims militarily, Putin wouldn’t give him a choice.

    22. Tough-Pea-2813 on

Can he remind us what exactly were the aims in Ukraine? Also, why haven’t Russia achieved them yet. It has been more than three years already.

    23. aStrange_quark on

Which will be different to everything they’ve been doing up until now…. How?
