I think it’s just a normal crime? Murder. I think they just extrajudicially murdered the people on that boat.
It was the execution of 11 people to try and send a message. The boat could have been easily monitored and if they entered US waters intercepted by the US coast guard. Likely would have gained more intelligence that way and could actually build a case. These people were not a big enough threat to the United states that it required military action. This should be impeachable and people including the brass that gave,the orders should face criminal charges.
He wants to start a war with Venezuela because a judge ruled he can’t use the wartime Alien Enemies Act to deport Venezuelans.

It doesn’t require being an expert to understand that killing people without due process is the work of a lawless government.
Keep in mind these smugglers are (a lot of the time) regular people who are threatened or extorted by the cartels to smuggle drugs. If they don’t do it, the cartels will kill their families (and the cartels WILL kill innocent people for simply refusing their demands). The Trump administration killed 11 people without any sort of due process. And we may never know their stories. I’m sure the US government will declare that they were all hardened criminals. But the truth is the cartels are cowards and will force innocent people to do their dirty work for them.
Kill the dealer on the corner or the kids delivering the drugs in any US city and see how that goes

No due process and in international waters against people accused of drug trafficking, it’s like war crime bingo. Is the US gonna turn into the Philippines under Duterte and just start executing suspected drug dealers extra judicially?
It was state-sanctioned murder, so obviously the chain of command needs to be prosecuted as murderers.
No evidence for the claims of ‚drug boat‘ has been presented , and even if it was they needed to be put on trial, not murdered.
I don’t even think there were 11 people on that boat. I don’t believe a single thing this administration says, no one should.
Literally nothing about this seems in the clear. There is virtually no information or transperency about this operation. Obviously Im not expecting some sort of classified leak of every detail, but just compare this to any other anti-narcotics or anti-piracy operation that makes headlines.
There is usually some form of mention of things like the unit or task force, a ship captain, or name of a ship involved, and at least a brief rundown of how contact and confirmation was made. Here, all we have is the administration that has fired people for going against the party line saying „it was totally a drug boat that was totally crewed by narcos“ before summarily blowing the boat up in foreign waters, and not even making the slightest attempt at apprehension.

Not to mention that even if it were a boat full of drugs and each of them confessed they wouldn’t get sentenced to death it would be to prison, trump just wanted to murder people.
Why not just arrest the people who were accused of snuggling? That’s usually what happens and not blowing it up.

Not an expert on drug smuggling, but why would they risk 11 people to smuggle drugs at once? On all of the coast guard reality shows I’ve watched, there are max 2 people with the drugs. This way, they don’t lose a whole squad of smugglers in one batch. This seems more like an execution.
War crimes don’t matter if you’re the US president, that hasn’t been the case as long as I’ve been following politics. And that’s been since the Bush administration.
