      I try not to react too negatively to random, out of context quotes from articles, I don’t like attacking people for casual opinions or having thoughts different from my own. 

      But Jesus Christ Waters, was it so difficult to rephrase yours comment just a little? If you didn’t like his antics then you’re free to say that and feel that way, but maybe just say “but I greatly respect what he did and what he created” which seemed like the direction you were going to at the start. But no, had to end it with “don’t give a shit”, which is a pretty crazy thing to say about someone who’s just died, famous or not.

      The Osbourne family really need someone to tell them to take a step back from social media and stop reacting to anything they perceive as negative.

      I’m not saying what Roger said isn’t negative, but people are always going to have opinions that you don’t like, even about dead relatives. They even reacted to a WWE wrestler saying a scripted line that Ozzy himself would have laughed at.

      The graceful thing to do is to ignore it, not make a public show of yourself. Constantly scouring for negativity is not going to help them heal and will only hurt their image.

      Roger Waters is just the designated proto-curmudgeon. You’d think being rich and adored would cheer him up a bit.

      Jack shouldn’t have responded. Roger genuinely doesn’t care. Who cares what a bitter old has-been has to say. Go write another list song that nobody wants to hear, Roger. At least Ozzy stayed relevant to the end.

      …and I say this is a much bigger fan of Pink Floyd than I have been of Ozzy.

      I listen to Ozzy almost daily. I never listen to Pink Floyd. I had Ozzy/Black Sabbath playing when I saw this.

      Calling someone an idiot right after they died, when they did nothing to you, is pathetic…

      I love Floyd and Waters is an immense talent…

      But he’s also always been more than a little bit of an asshole.

      Comments like this coming from him really aren’t a surprise.

      Should be “…Roger Waters, *formerly* of Pink Floyd.” Just to weaken the association and not sully the good name of the rest of the band.

      Not really worth giving Waters the time of day he’s always been a deliberately obnoxious and contrarian arsehole since the dawn of time. He’d tell you that water didn’t make you wet if he thought it would get a reaction. Best to not give his kind oxygen via attention.
