It was interesting to hear Kory Teneycke, on this week’s Curse of Politics podcast, question Abacus’ data — he straight up said that he believes Abacus is over sampling conservatives.

Teneycke said this both about the number Abacus has for the CPC, as well as their number for the Ontario PCs. Teneycke doesn’t believe the PCs are at 53% in Ontario. He is Ford’s Senior Advisor and, of course, would love for Ford to be that high in the polls.

This is at least the second notable conservative commentator to question Abacus, the first having been Bryan Breguet (formerly 2Close2Call & BC Conservative candidate).

Hard to take any commentary seriously from Coletto until he gets things back in order.

EDIT: I’ll add that some other pollsters, including former Abacus Data partner Bruce Anderson, have recently noted that Canadians are not yet losing patience. Again, highlighting Abacus as a possible outlier.

Canadians wanting this all on a dime is hilarious. I too want a lot of these things delivered on but it’s hard to do without parliament in session and a lot of this stuff will take years. That’d be the case no matter who won.
