      > A federal court in [Argentina](https://www.theguardian.com/world/argentina) has ordered house arrest for the daughter of a **former Nazi official** and her husband after a raid failed to locate a painting stolen from a Jewish art dealer in Amsterdam.
      ….
They failed, however, to locate the piece.

      Hope they rot in prison.

    2. I would like to hear what this woman’s position on this is. What could Patricia Kadgien possibly be thinking? I’m sure she’s a respectable person, but how could anyone live with such a morbid war souvenir hanging in their home?

House arrest is still pretty tame. Jail would have been more appropriate.

I see she has some attitudes of her father. Hiding the piece after it gets identified worldwide and going “what painting?”

Wonder what the other two pieces are that the police found at the other homes.

    5. I was waiting for this. When the president of the country is Jewish. And you happen to have art from the Holocaust. Yeah, bribery only goes so far until it reaches a point where it isn’t going to work.

    6. How they were able to discover that this Nazi’s daughter had the painting:

      >“There was certainly someone at home, we saw a shadow moving in the corridor, but no one opened,” the journalist, Peter Schouten, reported back. “By the way, the house is for sale,” he added, attaching a link to the agency, Robles Casas & Campos.

      >The AD reporter Cyril Rosman said: “As I opened the link the next morning, I started scrolling through the interior photos of the property. Was there anything that said more about Kadgien’s past? Then I saw it. That painting, above the sofa – photo five …”
