      „But the locks were changed at the town hall.“ I hate that passive voice. If the locks were changed, humans did that. Be journalists and name those humans.

      The best reason for never residing in a bigoted, hateful, and ignorant place like Alabama. My best connection is watching murder investigations from A&E on the First48 from Mobile. Solved by many unbigoted black and white detectives!

      I’m so glad to see this issue resolved and I hope this is the end of “hand-me-down” governments and they hold elections going forward.

      I hope Mayor Braxton was given unrestricted access to city hall and town resources as outlined by law and that the new government can function without interference from the losers / prior government officials.

      These people should be arrested. It needs to be done by the DOJ. Statute of Limitations is 5 years. The last offence was committed in 2024. If we get a new DOJ in 2028-2029 we can start an indictment in the nick of time.

      Nobody got punished. We had citizens masquerading as government officials and misappropriating municipal funds. They were illegitimate actors, trespassing and impersonating the moment he won in 2020

      LOVE seeing this in my state. We also had a county elect their first ever woman mayor as well. A step in the right direction!
