    1. Yea anyone who has shit to say about Emma has never had the misfortune of being around someone with dementia.

      Horrible horrible horrible disease.

    2. Just moved my husband to memory care for 24/7 help after he had a stroke plus 8 years of ALZ. I cry every day. It is simply the saddest way to take care of someone you love. Peace and love to all who know this painful story.

A much as this entire situation sucks, I’m so glad they all have each other. I’m so glad Emma has Demi in her corner. And I know the kids too. This is absolutely horrible to deal with. Anyone judging should check their privilege because they’re lucky to be able to have no idea.

    4. Everyone’s experience with dementia is different. Their loved one’s needs are different. My family was able to keep my dad at home for 13 before he passed away. It was HARD work. It was mentally and physically draining but not everyone can do that. Plus no way we could afford decent care.

It’s not like he’s in a nursing home… Not that there’s anything wrong with that, but if you can afford their situation, then good for you, go do that! My mom is in a skilled nurse facility and it’s the best place for everyone. How am I affording to put her in her own apartment with 24/7 care and barely pay our rent?
