Ein zweijähriges Mädchen wurde von einem Hund angegriffen und verletzt, teilte die Polizei am Montag mit.
Der Vorfall ereignete sich am Sonntag im Dorf Foini in Limassol, wobei der Besitzer des Hundes verhaftet wurde.
Das Mädchen erlitt Verletzungen an ihren Beinen und wurde zunächst in ein Krankenhaus in Limassol gebracht, bevor er aufgrund der Schwere ihrer Verletzungen in das Nicosia General Hospital gebracht wurde.
Dort wird erwartet, dass sie sich einer Operation unterziehen wird.
Der Hund wurde von den Veterinärdiensten zur Prüfung angenommen.
