Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro warned Monday he would „declare a republic in arms“ if U.S. forces in the Caribbean attacked his country.

„In the face of this maximum military pressure, we have declared maximum preparedness for the defense of Venezuela,“ Maduro said of the deployment, which he characterized as „an extravagant, unjustifiable, immoral and absolutely criminal and bloody threat.“

Trump is such a cunt but when he’s pitted against a shitbag like Maduro I can’t help but actually root for the fucker. Maybe he actually has some smart advisors left who managed to find him an opponent even more deplorable than he.

Of all the things on my bingo card, non-covert war with Venezuela was not on there.

    4. I am surprised Trump is doing this, I figured Maduro is his kind of guy…

As of January 2024, Guyana has an estimated 11 billion barrels of proven oil reserves, which is 75% of Brazil’s reserves. The International Energy Agency predicts that Guyana’s daily production could increase fivefold by 2030, from 250,000 barrels in 2022.

Venezuela has engaged in military build-ups near its border with Guyana, including troop and equipment movements, in a show of force and preparations for potential military conflict over the disputed Essequibo region. While Guyana’s government has responded with diplomatic efforts and sought international legal assistance to de-escalate the situation, the two nations have shown they are prepared for conflict, even though no act of aggression has occurred.

ExxonMobil and its partners have committed nearly $55 billion to the development of six oil projects in Guyana’s offshore Stabroek Block, with over $33 billion of this amount having been spent by early 2025. The investments are primarily for exploring and developing the block’s substantial oil reserves, with production from the six projects expected to reach over a million barrels of oil per day by 2027.

Venezuela’s Ministry of Defense states it has between 95,000 to 150,000 active combatants in the Venezuelan Armed Forces (FANB), which also includes the National Guard, Navy, and Air Force, alongside a growing National Militia of hundreds of thousands.

Guyana’s military, the Guyana Defence Force (GDF), has approximately 3,400 active-duty personnel, with an additional 670 in the volunteer reserve.

Venezuela holds the largest proven oil reserves in the world, with approximately 303-304 billion barrels.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they eventually start talking about building nuclear weapons to counter the threat.

    7. Don’t forget Trump is a bully and Maduro will put up a fight and that means American lives and that ain’t gonna look good on Donnie.

He is a bait and switch kind of guy so my call is Panama where they can’t put up much of a fight and he gets to control a whole lot of trade which is his game and poor little Panama can’t do much. I’d be looking at what’s going on in the Pacific not just the Caribbean.

On on the other hand, he could get all piss and vinegar and then demand that Maduro take all of the illegal immigrants that are in America for Trump leaving with his Navy.

Normally I would shrug this off as reality TV, but these days I feel anything is possible, including drone strikes into Mexico.

    9. Venezuela‘s military would see their major equipment being destroyed within the week after which they would be primarily unsupported infantry.

The easiest answer here is for them to leave Guyana alone.

    10. I rarely post but I’ll give you some context and correlation of some facts.
Maduro is a shitbag dictator who stole the last elections (there’s proof)leader of a drug cartel run by his top generals ( a way to keep them loyal) that currently traffics a shitload of drugs to the US.
Additionally patriots, Maduro has forced the largest migration outside of a war with: 6 million people having left the country. You read it correctly: 6 million. A lot of those were poor, uneducated and some even career criminals that endured the Panama jungle to WALK to the border of the US with Mexico and jump across.

Yes mr tiny weiner trump is an asshat but if he wants less ilegals in the country: remove Maduro is a quick fire way to get EVERYONE back to Venezuela.
Less immigrants, less drugs and a friendly neighbor with Rare earths, young able population and cheap oil. It’s a win win win.

P.D: this is NOT Vietnam, there will be no guerilla warfare and the populace will NOT fight for Maduro. The minute there is war declared they will ALL turn against the few milita and high ranking military officers they have. Source: AM Venezuelan.
Extra: China is currently raping our jungle for gold and rare earths, Iran is building drones and Russia has military installations, spies and destabilizers here.

It’s kind of a crossroads. Venezuela will rejoice when maduro and his bootlickers get removed from earth, yet it is well-known that the USA government’s actions are not benevolent and will enforce another kind of tyranny

so the war for the great american empire begins soon. I thought Trump would get the Insurrection Act in place first, but here we are. American fascism wants to expand earlier. And in case you are wondering why Trump and Putin get along that welll, you can stop wondering soon.

Fuck Maduro. As much as I hate Trump, Chavez and Maduro have turned Venezuela into a mess and should be removed post haste.

I would imagine from the billions of dollars in investments that US and other allied countries oil companies have pumped into Guyana there will be an “attack” from Venezuela on the disputed territory with Guyana that will be the trigger for US regime change.

    16. SkullOfOdin on

Venezuela situation sucks but if an agression USA happens it’s gonna be horrible for the people. Let’s hope nothing happens.

    17. This guy fraudulently won the election for President yet he still is President.

Yes I’m aware that could be said for both of them
