Ennis kind of living up to its name
Dundalk at sea level. My house elevation is 6 m
I’d like to know what they are measuring. The graph shows Derry – on a tidal river – at a higher elevation than Omagh – which is inland and far from the sea? Likewise Westport and Wicklow are higher than or similar to the inland towns of Mallow, Birr, Tullamore and Nenagh? Doesn’t make sense – and if they are measuring to the highest point in an urban area then Cork with it’s many hills would be far higher?
It must be the highest point in each town. Tralee is at 40 meters but it’s literally got the word strand in its name. It even has a tidal canal.
This is why Portlaoise always perform better in the Copa America
Where did you get this list OP? There seems to be a few missing. Greystones, Courttown and Arklow at least. Might also be helpful to compare how close each is to the sea. Assuming this is looking into dangers of rising sea levels, Parts of Wicklow would be more at risk than Athlone for example.
