    1. Some Swede explained in a past thread that there is this phenomenon in Sweden of these self-identified „elite“ families whose main concern is to virtue signal. They’ll find whatever cause du jour they can grab and put themselves at the center of it (and abandon the older one once it’s not cool anymore).

    2. these flotillas are literally the dumbest publicity stunts. They look like pleasure cruises, bring no aid, don’t help gazans at all, and ultimately just seem super unserious.

And every time they get stopped they do everything in their power to paint israeli soldiers (who already are probably fed up that they have to deal with a bunch of privileged european assholes) as these evil people while they hand them challah sandwiches and bottled water.

I really feel like they only exist to make these privileged assholes feel good about themselves.

Will Greta actually enter Gaza City or this just a stunt where she’s going to hand the food off? I don’t mean to be doomer mentality but what is her plan if Hamas gunmen show up and try to take the food? Does she expect the IDF who she’s slandering to protect her? I mean this all seems really dangerous

Or is this just empty media pandering and she expects to be stopped by the IDF coast guard?

It will get shut down. Lollipops against a modern military blockade. PR is all this is, little brat will cry foul when they get stopped. What do those privileged people think they will accomplish? Not a damn thing will come of this humanitarian voyage.

My favorite part is when they dump their phones in the Med after they record their farewell videos in case they don’t make it out alive at the hands of the IDF, very green Greta. Inevitably they are handed a sandwich and an Evian, decline the video entertainment the Israeli’s offer – the October 7 deep dive reel – and then catch their flight out of Ben Gurion. I wonder if the Houthi’s suspend their drone attacks to coordinate with their departures.

Greta should have stayed with climate change. Getting involved in wars will cost her dearly

    7. LongPerformerStrong on

It’s weird how Greta Thunberd hasn’t say a word about the women and babies being held hostage by the Palestinians. It’s almost as if she supports it.

    8. WarningAppropriate27 on

She going to pretend that she’s handcuffed while walking through an airport again?

    9. These people claim Israel are intentionally murdering civilians and so on, but feel safe enough with them to violate their army lines during a war. Seeing as they wouldn’t dare do this in Sudan or Russia they are confirming that israel is indeed more concerned with the lives and safety of civilians than other countries at war around the world

    10. The aid is a pretence. They’re sailing in on yachts, not cargo boats. The amount they can provide is absolutely minimal in material terms, and from what I remember, last time they ate some of the food supplies themselves.

They’ll keep arranging these flotillas until someone is inevitably hurt by sailing into an active warzone, so then they can start pointing fingers.

These flotillas do nothing to help Palestinians and are purely a desperate attempt by Greta to stay relevant after she became irrelevant in the eco warrior movement after so many people became Pro Environment she just got seen by many as an immature angry girl

The last time she did this she caused damage to the Palestinian cause by refusing to even watch the 7th Oct massacre footage. This footage was filmed by Hamas, all she had to do was watch it, say it was wrong and then she could say it didn’t justify the war but she couldn’t even bring herself to do that which made her and anyone supporting her look bad

Well, I guess they saw what the Egyptians did to the convoy that headed to the Rafah border in Egypt and decided they would get less harmed from the Israeli’s.

    13. Just let them in Gaza for a bit, they wouldn’t last a few days before asking IDF to save them

    14. Why not go to the frontline in Ukraine instead? Is she afraid there? I wonder why.

    15. UnfortunatelySimple on

She really should have stayed in her lane, Climate change is a huge issue and is being put to the side.

    16. MerryWalrus on

Greta had an opportunity and a platform to actually influence the world on climate change.

Instead she became another crusty career protestor/influencer.

      Shame. What a waste.

    17. This is fucking stupid. You are civillians, of course they are going to stop civillians from sailing into the waters of an active fucking war zone.

    18. irredentistdecency on

Israel is going to have a great boat sale next year with all these boats that Greta is donating…

    19. Antagonist007 on

And yet another Publicity stunt by her. It has been a while since the last one

    20. Monty_Bentley on

On the plus side, I guess her new hobby means climate change isn’t a problem anymore!

    21. java-with-pointers on

Last time the only things she got are sandwiches and a flight back home, is she hungry or?

    22. YourLoveLife on

Honestly just let them land the boat and get immediately taken hostage by hamas

    23. So they are going to a war zone on ships that could not even feed Gazans? What could go wrong?

    24. Greta Thunberg is going to be remembered as the biggest con artist of the her generation. She hates free speech and supports terrorism. She is completely confused on the difference between fascism and capitalism and attempts to mislead people into communism as some sort of blissfully ignorant state of consciousness. I pity her and her pathetic existence as a mascot for modern day criminals.

    25. ShiftyGorillla on

Me and the homies are inspired. We’re going to sail into North Korea with chocolate pies and porno.

      Thoughts and prayers please!

    26. LV426acheron on

Why don’t they try the land route through Egypt?

Oh right, no one wants to blame Egypt. They all want to blame Israel.

    27. It just helps to promote “entitled oblivious westerner” stereotype. I guess the word performative fits here like a glove.

    28. Zombie_Jesus_83 on

Can someone explain to me why, again, the media cares about what this woman does? All I read about in the news since she was a child is that she protests. Ok? Why do we care about her?

    29. do try the same thing over and over and expect different results is the definition of …………………

    30. Pool-Supermodel- on

I know this word gets overused a lot but these flotilla things are the most performative shit ever lol

    31. shpongletron00 on

Can’t understand why she is considered relevant in any of these serious global issues. Whining as a child in the UN to gather attention was okay but trying to enter an active warzone as an adult, Good luck Greta.

    32. is the entire world drowning from melted ice caps just not a big deal anymore?

    33. That is just gullible. How is a bunch of unarmed protestors going to break a military siege? All they can do is to get someone hurt or killed.

Heck, didn’t they already try? How did it go last time?

    34. Oh she’s gonna get deported again. She’ll probably get a permanent bar from entering Israel so that leads her to prison if she tries a third time

    35. I have to say that either many many many of the comments are bots or we are losing humanity.
