I don´t like lager at all, I prefer other types of beer. Haven´t found many that are actually good but some do exist.

Despite all the sugarcoating and everything around alcohol, it is clearly a harmful thing for the body and it is nice that people consume less and less.

What’s the point of alcohol free beer? It’s like all the bitterness without the payoff.

Czechs know their beer is better than anyone else’s. At the same time the market for non-alcoholic beer is growing exponentially, especially the fruity ones like Birell Pomelo Grep. Which unfortunately is not yet sold officially in Germany. I wouldn’t even consider it a beer, it’s a super refreshing, not too sweet drink based on non-alcoholic beer. Give it a try when you get a chance.

I find this new anti alcohol trend so funny as someone who already drank very sparingly after college, as most people I know do.
Like dude you just realized it’s bad for you?
And then of course as all these trends go, it becomes a statement to be a “I don’t drink guy”. Well turns out I also never see you at after work or social events good sir so you do you 😀

Stupid articles not stating the biggest reason: money. Alcohol these days is much more expensive as it was 20 years ago. And while alcohol is expensive, drugs are much much cheaper and much easier to get than they were 20 years ago. Drugs consunption among u-20 has also skyrocketed in last 10’m years, even 16 years olds these days do drugs like mdma and weed, some even cocaine. Also, you dont need any id to prove youre 18+ when buying drugs.
So while alcohol consumption among gen z is lower, its nowhere near because theyve suddenly all become enlightened, but because they cant afford it. Thats the sad truth, our economy has outpriced youth to a point where they were forced into consuming drugs in order to have good time

Alcohol free beer has a disgusting taste though. There are many nicer non alcoholic drinks.

Alcohol-free beer is one of the things I missed the most while travelling. Love the taste, but don’t always want the drug. Especially because we mix our beer with all kinds of sweet drinks and that sweet and savoury combination is very unique

It’s interesting we went from a generation who enjoyed mass produced beer brands, to one that enjoyed craft beers and now one that enjoys non-alcoholic beer.
I’ll have a beer occasionally but actually my preference is whisky.
