      This Supreme Court (or the gop members) acts as though previous litigated claims or well established principles mean nothing…yet their word is gospel.

      We asked Biden to add more seats to the Court. Remember that the next time the DNC asks for money. Research progressive candidates and give your money to them. We need to protect this country and it’s clear incumbent candidates only want things to remain the same. That’s what happens when you serve corporations and not people.

      I could agree that there should be no need for the act. But, when you look at the new districts being approved and/or purposed by these states it is evident that they are not even hiding that they are not looking for any equality or fairness. They are in fact using the redistricting to dilute the rights of others thus disenfranchising them.

      Take Missouri for example. Creating a district that cuts out a section of Kansas City and creates a corridor extending east far enough into rural areas to, obtain a voting population large enough in rural voters to, offset the population from the Kansas City area. A clear example of an attempt to disenfranchise the voters in the Kansas City area. If it were not so districts would be as cube shaped as possible (while also staying within county boundaries as much as possible).

      As the elected officials prove, by their own actions, they can not be trusted to do the right thing the act should remain the law of the land.

      Supreme Court logic: Racism is over, so let’s bring back the maps that dilute Black votes. It’s like throwing away your umbrella in a hurricane because you kinda felt dry for a second.

      Wild how the Supreme Court can squint so hard at racism that it disappears, but never at gerrymandering that benefits the GOP.

      I miss Souter, Scalia and Ginsburg. Why Souter, because he was not what was expected, he ruled guided by his heart and mind. As for Scalia and Ginsburg, they were two opposing ideologies who took the time to at least sit down and talk with each other every day over lunch to understand each other’s opinions.

      This speedrun to take the country back in time 200 years is insane….it proves that our entire country is a castle built on sand…and Trump broke it by simply firing people and putting yes men in place.
