This is likely the first time in American history that a sitting president gets no respect and no one cares.

Agriculture is a matter of national security. It literally keeps country’s citizens alive and healthy and politically it creates and protects jobs. It will always be a tough nut to crack
Every country is different. Rice imports in Japan are insanely tariffed, yes. Arguably they also hurt Japan.
But the ‚Art of the deal‘ does not involve bulldozing your way in and telling Japanese what they need to do.
Americans are unable to understand the cultural importance of rice in Japan.
