He may not have been an official mason, but a member of the KGC, Knights of the Golden Circle.
There’s a lot of information about them if you look, and a number of references in older texts about Booth that mention him having ties to the KGC. Definitely a pro-slavery group, secret symbols and all.
Yeah he helped lincoln fake his death. Booth was the boyfriend of the guy who did ‘seances’ at the white house. Or whatever the hell they were doing. Booth’s beard fiancee was actually at the white house tutoring with lincoln’s son the day of the shooting. Her dad was an official in lincoln’s admin. So dude in lincoln’s govt had a daughter about to marry booth. And she’d go to the white house. So im sure Booth did too. But hey, the plebes will never think about the obvious. 🤷🏻♀️
